First, thanks for all the birthday wishes. Who knew a gal could feel such love from complete strangers all over the world?
Now...
That brings us to Saturday. The day I drove eight different cars, pissed away a perfectly good 70 degree Saturday, skipped Habitat, and sat in cubicles for "just 15 minutes" which turned into an hour each time. I have learned that there is really no "great deal" in car shopping because it is all just a scam of schmoozing. An art I have not mastered and have no intention of practicing. EVER!
I really did not celebrate my birthday at all because of the car chaos. I figured there is always next weekend or the half birthday or next year.
Oh, and I still do not have a car. I will post about that tomorrow. In the meantime, I will tell you all that I have caved and am trying out an Accord. No, I am not pregnant.

Sometimes growing up sucks! Happy belated bday. I met some of your kiddos at the meet this weekend that ate up all my beautiful weather time. FYI-they were very polite.
An Accord is a mom car? WHAT? I bought it 6 months after I graduated from college. Now if you were buying a minivan or my huge SUV then I would wonder :) Maybe my perspective is a little off since I have 2 kids, but you will LOVE an Accord. Or I'm sure anything else you buy :)
No babies here either but after my German-mobile (a VW) broke up with me after just 18 months (piece o' crap), I ended up with an Accord. I haven't had a single problem and it's almost 6 years old. Best part? It's still valued at over $11k.
You're going to love it..... *wicked laugh coming at you* I have one and it's been MRS. FAITHFUL. I love her. I have driven a Chevy, Pontiac, Mitsubishi, Ford, and now Honda....never.going.back.
Oh...I had an Accord in college & LOVED it! Unfortunately I totaled it on 75. It was like losing a member of my family...well, not really that bad, maybe more like extended family.
